Covid safety for staff, students and community

Updated: May 17, 2022

As an institution WEA ILLAWARRA is home to a secondary school, an RTO (registered training organisation) and a community college. The wellbeing of our staff, students and our local community are at the core of everything we do as we strive to operate in a safe manner.

For ALL staff and students whilst on WEA Illawarra premises, the current conditions apply:
Mask wearing is optional – but recommended
Self-distancing is recommended – wherever possible
Full vaccination is highly recommended

If you are feeling unwell, please don’t attend class, notify staff immediately and stay at home until you are symptom free.

College Cleanliness:
Our premises are professionally cleaned daily. All high contact areas such as doors, handles, kitchen and toilet surfaces and lifts are cleaned with appropriate strength cleaning agents. Toilets are cleaned and disinfected regularly. Hand sanitising units are located throughout the building.

Class Sizes:
Class sizes are still restricted to facilitate social distancing.

Cancellation of Classes: Either a full refund or a transfer to another course will be offered to participants if the course is cancelled due to health restrictions.

We appreciate your assistance during this pandemic.
Let’s work together to keep our learning environment safe!
