Learn to Dance the Argentine Tango! (Level 1 and 2)

Join us for Tango!
Tango is a musical genre and accompanying social dance originating at the end of the 19th century in the suburbs of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Montevideo (Uruguay). Tango is a truly universal and ageless dance.
This Beginners Course (Level 1 and 2) is designed for the tango novice. The whole course is structured in one-hour sessions over a period of ten weeks. During the course you will learn the basic techniques of posturing, balance, walking, leader and followers’ roles, embrace and mutual connection. The tango class is of one hour duration from 7:30 - 8:30 pm. After that students will be encouraged to stay and practice what they learnt under guided assistance for up to 1/2 hour.
You can also expect to be invited to join us and be introduced by us to Sydney’s tango dance parties (milongas).
Singles and couples welcome.
We will do our best to balance the numbers and have equal numbers of singles leaders and followers.
